you for a wonderful weekend at Old Bara. We loved the experience of being out in
the country and having absolute quiet – I can’t believe all I could hear on
Saturday morning was the bees buzzing! The surrounding countryside was
spectacular. It was a great place to rest – the beds were very comfortable and
the house so well appointed. We had a brunch on Sunday morning for 20 and we
wanted for nothing – all I had to buy was food! We enjoyed walking around the
property but we never did see those wombats! Still, all the kangaroos made up
for it. We would love to come again and bring our dog.

We
had a fantastic time at Old Bara Guesthouse. Location
is great - far enough away from town to be surrounded
by nature with a great view of the stars at night, but
still easy to get to town and the vineyards.
Really impressed by the facilities - a quality kitchen
and BBQ helped to make cooking fun plus heaps of space
inside and out for dinner and brekkie. Combined with
one of the best log burning fires we've ever used, the
evenings were cosy and relaxing! Make sure you get up
early and take a walk...the local birds and Roos are
out in force in the morning.
Will definitely be back - we're sure Spring will be
even more fun!

with the cleanliness of the house, the facilities and
the small touches that made the place feel very welcoming.
The beds and sheets were extremely comfortable. Even
though the homestead is quite close by, we still felt

couldn't have made us feel more welcome with the lovely
bottle of wine and the sensational cosy house! It exceeded
every expectation right down to the linen, which is
better than our own home! My children loved the freedom
and space and we had the best of both worlds with Mudgee
and the wineries nearby but also a taste of "the
bush", albeit very luxurious! We'll be back in
